In July, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 339 prefecture-level and above cities nationwide was 16 micrograms per cubic meter, up 6.7% year-on-year; the average concentration of PM10 was 29 micrograms per cubic meter, down 6.5% year-on-year; the average concentration of O3 was 132 micrograms per cubic meter, down 9.6% year-on-year; the average concentration of SO2 was 7 micrograms per cubic meter, flat year-on-year; the average concentration of NO2 was 12 micrograms /m3, down 14.3% year-on-year; the average concentration of CO was 0.7 mg/m3, flat year-on-year.

In July, the average proportion of good air quality days in 339 cities at prefecture level and above nationwide was 92.0%, up 4.4 percentage points year-on-year; the average proportion of days with heavy and above pollution was 0.3%, up 0.1 percentage points year-on-year; the average proportion of days exceeding the standard caused by sand and dust weather was 0.9%, of which the proportion of days with heavy and above pollution was 0.3%.
